Queer Fantasy Pride Collection

Good morning everyone!
I finally finished creating your surveys, and the smoke-test is now out! This test survey has gone out to about 5% of backers, so please check your other emails to see if you got one. Smoke tests allow me to test the survey and make sure everything looks good and is functional, so if you received one of these please fill it out ASAP and let me know if anything doesn't look right, shipping prices seem off, or if I missed something!

For the most part, US orders should be between $5 and $16 for shipping depending on order size, and all international orders sould be between $18 and $30 again depending on how much was ordered.

I added images to most pledge questions to help you decide which pins you want, though because there are so many options for pin and stickers, some questions might not have an image for each answer. In particular, anyone who got 8 or more pins as part of their pledge (King's Ransom, Dragon's Nest, and Dragon's Hoard) will only have images attached to the first 8 or so (pin) questions. If you want to see all of your options together, the previous update shows all the pin options (including pronoun and mini pins), and this update will have all the sticker, lanyard, and magnet options shown.
Please feel free to use both this update and the previous one (linked) as a guide while you fill out your survey!

Small updates:
The Asexual flag is now available as a lanyard, meaning there are now 7 flag options available as a lanyard! This is a small change, but since the Asexual flag is usually pretty popular, I decided to add it here too :)

The small sticker collection will feature 19 different options to choose from, including sticker versions of each Flag Creature design (12), plus 7 Pride Shield designs (shown all together later in this update). The Flag creatures are still in progress, but 2/3 of them have been updated for the sticker designs. Mostly I've just been adding extra details in the sticker versions like shading and wing/ fur patterns, so they'll still basically look the same as their pin counterparts

Extra Goodies:
There are a few bonus items in the add-on section of the survey, including a few items already in my shop from previous campaigns! If your flag wasn't used for this campaign, I may have it in my Pride Moth collection from 2021-2023. I have added the Acrylic Pins (1.5 inches) and Stickers (3 inches, waterproof) from that campaign to the add-ons section. Feel free to grab a couple at a special discounted rate though the survey and help me get rid of some old stock!

I have also added the Mystery Dragon Egg Keychains I designed earlier in the campaign to the Add-Ons! These were initially voted against in favor of more pin options, but I decided to add these as a last stretch-goal to see if folks would still be interested in them. If there are at least 15 orders of these, I'll have the funds to produce them and they'll be officially added! If they don't get enough sales however, you won't be charged for them and they will not be produced.



And for one last Bonus Item- Mystery B Grade pins from the last campaign! 

Mystery B Grade pins are enamel pins from my last campaign that have minor cosmetic flaws. This can be anything from underfilled enamel sections or spots/specks of color in the enamel or bubbles in the plating. Most of these flaws are very very minor and aren't even visible unless you know where to look. Grab one of these (mystery) pins at a big discount!

Good evening!

This will be a bit longer of an update, but I have a couple of design updates, a new mini pin, and I want to show off all the designs that will be available thru the survey!

But first, business:

There are about 25 of you with failed payments. Please check your email for one from BackerKit saying that your card declined and payment was not collected. Please fix this ASAP so you can get your survey and so I can get the funds to make these pins! Right now there is over $1,500 in failed payments, and without this funding I will not be able to make all the goodies promised in this campaign.

You can update this information or check the status of your pledge by clicking on the icon in the upper right corner of the BackerKit page and going to Your Pledges and Surveys, then going to the Queer Fantasy Pride tab from there.

I am currently working on surveys. There's been a little bit of a hiccup with the Early Bird and Returning Backer Incentives, but I am working to fix them!
I hope to have the surveys out in about a week or so for the smoke test. This will go out to about 5% of backers so I can make sure all the pledges are coming through properly and that everything is working the way it should. After that, I can send them out to everyone else and I can get counts for manufacturing!

Please keep an eye out for the next update when smoke test surveys go out!

Next up- Design Changes!
I have two design updates for you- one for the Queer Hydra and one for the Nonbinary Tatzelwurm.

This design has changed the most from what was shown in the campaign, but I think it looks much better now! I added more scales, gave the whole beast a more warm brown fur-like color, made the paws, muzzle, and belly a light tan, and made the eyes white so they would pop more against the beige. I also made the yellow of the flag a bit more saturated and adjusted the lineart in a couple places, though these aren't as noticeable. The design looks a lot more like a blend of the Wampus cat from Native American culture mixed with the original Tatzelwurm snake/cat hybrid, and I love it!


Next! The Queer Hydra got a bit of a facelift too- The Maroon color variant won the poll from last week, so here is the final version. I went with the gorgeous deep red color for the body and complimented it with a deep yellow/ gold for the wings, horns, and spike accents, as well as made the claws and eyes bright white so they pop against the dark scale of the dragon.

New Pin! It was brought to my attention that the Disability Pride Flag has the same number of stripes as the Demiboy, Demigirl, and Agender flags, so I could reuse the design for it! This flag will be available as a mini pin for everyone who pledged for or added a mini pin to their order. It will also be available as an add-on in the survey!

Quick FAQ's Ahead of the Survey:

Q: I ordered two (or more) pins and want to mix and match between pronoun pins and creature pins, can I do that?
A: Yes! You'll have the option to choose between any of the six pronoun pins and 12 creature designs for each pin ordered. So if you like, you can get two pronoun pins, two creature pins, or one of each (for however many pins you pledged for!). You'll also have the option to add more pins, stickers, and other goodies to your order after you pick everything you already pledged for.

Q: I want a mini pin but forgot to add it to my pledge! Can I still get one?
A: Yes! After you fill out your survey, you'll be taken to an Add-On page where you can grab anything you missed during the campaign.

Q: My payment failed/ card expired, can I resubmit payment and get my items?
A: Yes! You'll be able to re-enter your card either in the survey or through your profile on BackerKit. You can click on the icon in the upper right hand side of the screen anytime to update your card or mailing address :)

Its the Dawn of the Final Day of this campaign, and I couldn't be happier! Right now, we're at 940% funded, which means we are FULLY FUNDED! All stretch goals are unlocked, and there are now 12 Pride Flag pins, 6 pronoun pin options, 13 Mini Flag Pins, 6 Lanyard options, 3 car magnet designs, and a TON of stickers to pick from! We've already more than DOUBLED the amount raised in my previous campaign, which was already a HUGE record-breaker for me :)

Design Updates:
I am still working on picking new colors for several designs, including the Queer Hydra which has been difficult since the flag has so many colors itself. I just posted a new poll to help decide which color to go with, and made some mock-ups with a new background so we can see what this pin might look like in person instead of just on-screen. I think the white background really throws the colors off too, so these mock-ups really help with visualizing:

I will also be updating the Pan Cerberus and Nonbinary Tatzelwurm colors this weekend, both of which will be shown in the next update, though these color changes won't be as drastic.

What's Next:
The campaign will end in just a few hours, so feel free to adjust your pledge, add new items, swap pledge levels, etc. Your card will be charged after the campaign ends, so keep an eye out for a confirmation. If you receive an error message saying your card/ payment failed, please update your card info ASAP so the survey and fulfillment portion goes smoothly.
This weekend, I will be working on getting a pre-order store open and getting the survey up and running.

You should receive a survey in about two weeks (usually less, but I'll post an update when it's ready). This is where you will pick your pins, lanyards, stickers, etc. If you want to add anything you missed during the campaign to your order, you will be able to add more items through the survey as well!

We are now in the final 72 hours of the campaign, and there's a new goal left to unlock!

The overwhelming majority of votes in the last poll were for these adorable mini pins, so they're now available as add-ons and in one of three new Pledge Levels:
Mini Pin Set $30:
Comes with any three (3) mini flag pins. Grab one for each of your friends or get all of your flags in one set! Get three at once for a small discount
Triple Pin Set $40:
Comes with your choice of 2 standard (2 inch) pins plus one mini (1 inch) pin- perfect for those looking to get their flag creature, a pronoun pin, and a matching mini pin, all in one bundle!

The first half of the Mini Banner Pins will feature 7 flags and have all already been unlocked:

These pins will be gold plated to match the others in this collection, and be 1 inch tall and roughly 0.75 inches wide. Each will also come with two pin posts, rubber clutches, and a backstamp.

Onto the updated designs!

First- the Lesbian design! I fixed the wonky stripes in the flag, and picked some warmer, more cohesive colors for the body of the Peryton. I also widened some of the wing feathers so the design is easier to read. The warmer tones really mesh well with the oranges and pinks of the flag :)


Updated Asexual Design:
This one is more subtle change, but I have updated the colors to be more cohesive and warmer, and gave the Manticore piercing yellow eyes instead of green. The graphic has also been updated to show how it will look with the gold plating.



Next on the docket:
I am also planning on updating the Nonbinary, Queer, and Pansexual designs. Mostly these will just be new colors, though the Nonbinary Tatzelwurm might get a little bit of a facelift too. Since Tatzelwurms can have between 2 and 6 legs, I chose the 6 leg option to also reference the Wampus Cat from Appalachian folklore. This creature is said to resemble a mountain lion, so the coloring and any design changes will be more reminiscent of this creature (orange/ brown, white belly, dark brown ears).

That's it for now! There's a little under 3 days left in the campaign to hit our last goal of $8,750, but with these new pledge levels and add-ons, I think we can make it! There's just one week left to pledge to the campaign! After that, there will be about 2 weeks before the surveys are ready and sent out and production can begin.

I do have a couple of updates for you- including some (potential) new stretch goals~

First up- The Gay Man/ MLM Creature Pin:



You may notice that this is not the creature that won the poll, and for that I have to apologize- This was the second most popular creature, but I had been working on a cockatrice/ basilisk design for a while and, well, decided that I get a vote too :)
I love how this guy turned out, and I think the colors go really well with the flag and the red and yellow accents balance out the blue and greens of the flag.

Next on the Agenda: More stretch goals!

I think we have time for one (ish) more goal before the campaign ends in just 1 week! There is currently a poll up to decide what this last goal will be, and the choices are for more Flag Creature pins (likely just one more), a new item like a reusable sticker book or pencil bag, or a set of mini pins (see below!)

Mini Pins (Poll Option)
I had a wonderful idea on Monday to make mini flag banners like the ones you see in fantasy shows/ movies when opposing armies clash and you see the fancy banners on poles or hanging from a castle wall. I designed a few of these so you can see my vision:


With these I would do several flag options so you could theoretically get a large creature pin (2") as well as a mini flag pin (1") in the same flag, or get a bunch of mini banners to line up on an apron or lanyard for work! These would be 1 inch tall, gold plated, and have two pin posts with rubber clutches. Each would run you about $12 or a set of 3 for $30

Vote now on which option you want to see!

There was a question about the lanyards I would like to elaborate on-
The graphic I came up with for these is not accurate to what the final item will look like, the real lanyards will have a breakaway clasp (don't worry- they're still sturdy and won't just fall off!) as well as a leather finish and lobster clasp. In truth I just didn't want to draw the extra clasp on the mock up, but I can see how that would cause confusion.
